At one time he was a follower of The Grateful Dead but has lost that side of himself. A typical conservative suburban father that’s cynical of life and especially the Addams family. Mal Beineke** (Male - Tenor/Baritone) Stage Age 35 - 55, Vocal Range: C3 – A4 Mal is Lucas’ stuffy father and an exasperated husband to his rhyming wife, Alice. Must be a bass with a good singing voice for a small comic bit at the end. A man of very few words, Lurch mostly responds in drawn out groans. Lurch (Male - Bass) Stage Age: 25 – 50, Vocal Range: Eb2 – E4 Lurch is the Addams family butler, extremely tall. Fun and quirky, but don’t mess with Grandma comedic actress with strong character vocals. ![]() Grandma is known for her cynical and morbid sense of humor and her recreational herbs and interest in the occult. Willing to shave his head and Ukulele skills a plus! Grandma (Female) Stage Age: 102, Vocal Range: G4 – F5: This disrespectful old “hag” is the mother of Gomez (well we think she is). Fester has great comedic timing and a tenor voice. Uncle Fester Addams (Male - Tenor/Baritone) Stage Age: 30-50, Vocal Range C3 – G4 (optional C5) Serving as the narrator of the show, Uncle Fester is lovable, childish, enthusiastic and highly incorrigible. Pugsley is charming and funny, ideally with an unchanged singing voice. He is lost trying to figure out his place now that she has a new boyfriend and family dynamics are changing. Pugsley Addams (Male presenting - Tenor) Stage Age 10 – 13, Vocal Range: A3 – F5 The youngest of the Addams Family, Pugsley loves to be tortured by his big sister (literally). Strong pop belt vocals and a good sense for sarcasm. Wednesday showcases compassion, a bit of stubbornness and strong will. Tango skills a plus! Wednesday Addams** (Female - Soprano/Mezzo-Soprano) Stage Age: 18 - 22, Vocal Range A3 - E5 The goth daughter of Gomez and Morticia and big sister to Pugsley, Wednesday who has her father’s heart and her mother’s dry wit falls in love with a “normal” boy who she brings home to meet the family. Must be a good dancer, have natural comedic timing, and sing well. An easy comedic actress with a sexy, dry wit. She is concerned her husband is hiding something, and will use all her wiles and tactics to lure his secret out. Morticia is the real 'head' of the Addams family, the matriarch. Her cool head and dry sense of humor help temper the flames of lust in Gomez, and bring tangibility to her fear of growing old. Spanish accent is a plus! Morticia Addams** (Female, Mezzo-Soprano) Stage Age 35-55, Vocal Range: G3 - Bb5. He has great comedic timing and is a strong dancer. Gomez finds himself trapped between his daughter and his wife, being forced to hide Wednesday’s big secret from Morticia. A suave man of Spanish descent who adores his wife and children and takes immense pride in being an Addams. LOOKING FOR: Gomez Addams** (Male, Baritone) Stage Age: 35-55, Vocal Range: Bb2 - G4. You may also be asked to take part in movement or dance auditions, where the choreographer will ask you to learn a few steps. Choose a song that enhances and shows off your singing skills - usually not a song from the play for which you are auditioning.
